Wahm Bands are Here!

I am oh so happy to announce that I've just recieved the first shipment of Proud Wahm Bands!! I'm very impressed! The bands look so nice and are a very good quality ... not to mention I wasn't expecting them until around the 16th and here it is only the 9th!

Of course wouldn't you know hubby has the digital camera at work today or I would be posting a picture right now, lol!

Hopefully I'll be able to get the picture up tomorrow!

All orders will be shipped out first thing Friday morning!!

Take care,
Anita :)

Hi there Anita, I'm curious does any of the money go towards a charity? I think that would be amazing :) Just a thought.

Actually really haven't seen too many of those bands that are associated with charities. Most that I've seen are just for looks.

The ones Anita is selling I can't see them being associated with any one charity since that's not what they are about - they are for WAHMs to show they are proud to be what they are, and for a good conversation piece. It's all about awarness for WAHMs, which there are still so many that don't know we exist!

Also I'm not sure there is really any "chairty" that is wahm-specific. Mother specific and women specific yes, but not wahms. ;)

Was just a thought, Kara ;) I know I always like to buy things more when I know part of my fee is going towards someone in need ... and it wouldn't have to be WAHM's ... anyhoo...good luck with this Anita. Hope you're doing well.

I don't usually pay much attention to if they give to someone in need or not, especially if I'm buying from a wahm I know I'm already giving to a cause - I'm helping someone work at home and be with their kids. ;)

By the way, Anita, how is the job going? I know you had written me awhile ago about it --- still enjoying it?

Oh, and have you written a press release about this yet Anita? This could be something good to get out in the press. Email me if you decide to write one and need my help :)

Wow! Sorry, nope I hadn't done the charity thing this time. I tried that one other time and it just didn't work out how I expected. I started hearing a lot of comments about how people get tired of hearing about donating to charities because they feel as though it's just a way to make more sales. Just didn't feel right to me. And really sometimes I've seen some of those and it really makes you wonder. I didn't want people to get the same feeling about me.

As far as the job goes; it's been great! I wasn't sure at first because well, I love being at home and love being with my kids. But, really I couldn't have found another more family-friendly business. Actually, it's brought a lot of my family together even more (added bonus!) See, hubby works there in the shop and I work side by side with my mother-in-law. My father-in-law works there too! And I can bring my kids with me anytime I want (how cool is that?) Can you believe I've actually got in "trouble" for showing up without them one time? It's not me they want, it's my kids! LOL!

It's been absolutely perfect to be honest with you (if I may brag, lol!) I'm basically getting the best of both worlds, be with my family, get out of the house a bit (actual conversation with other adults, how bout that?? LOL!), and I get to work my home biz at work too (super, super fast internet connection!)

Oh, and then well we have that other motive that I haven't shared with too many people. See like I mentioned above, I've been working side by side with my MIL. Well, you know when you're too nice and the work gets piled higher and higher cause you won't say no? That's her! This woman has been in this company for over 10 years now (I gotta be honest, I don't think they could run without her, lol!). She just really needed some assistance because really she was working herself to an early grave. Something had to be done and I guess I was the one to make it happen ;-)

Anyway, enough rambling! LOL! It has been a bit since we've chatted, huh?

    **Reposting to fix spelling errors...LOL**

LOL! Wow --- things sound great for you hun. I'm so happy that everything is going great in your life and you're happy. I can "hear" it in your "voice"!

And you go girl for helping your MIL out! My mom is the same way...she works her booty off and will never ask for help. You just have to step in and do it! lol.

Keep in touch and here's to continued happiness!

    Nell

Oh and on a side note, I guess I associate charities and such with bands because of Lance Armstrong and his bands profits going towards his advocacy foundation and other programs ;) Just one of those things that pops into my head as soon as I see "wrist bands". lol. Crazy how the mind can associate things even when you're not thinking about it...ya know?!
